Retrofit applications to existing wood sash may require the addition of sash lifts to be able to raise and lower the sash (If there is no existing sash lift or finger groove). We present 3 options. A pair of towel hooks turned sideways allows for a lift to be installed over only ½-5/8” of wood below the 1/2” taped edge of a clear acrylic panel. If you have ¾-1” of wood below the ½” taped edge of a clear acrylic panel, you may want to consider the handle or finger lift types of sash lifts.
